Currently JUNE! WOOHOO!

Hey there! I'm so happy you are here! Today, I am linking up with the lovely Farley for the amazing June Currently!! YAY!!! I also have some other fun surprise's for you…so be sure to read ALL the way to the end of this post…I don't want you to miss out on any of the fun!

Let's get rollin'…

Listening- I am currently staying at my Fiancé's house for the next two weeks and he is watching Husker baseball on ESPN. Nothin' says summer like a lil' baseball! Go Big Red!!

Loving- My awesome FiancĂ©! Earlier this week I had a crazy allergic reaction where I was lookin' a lot like the Michelin Man's sister and covered in itchy hives.  In short, I was lookin' REAL good. Now, I am on quite the concoction of med's and he has been taking care of me. I am very lucky to have such an awesome future husband.

Thinking- My birthday is on June 11th and my awesome family and friends have asked me to come up with a list of things I want or would like to do for my birthday.  I am pretty excited but, I am pretty easy to please. All I want is good food and fun conversation with my family and friends around. Now…how can I make that happen? hmmm…

Wanting- Well, my wedding is a year away and I really need to get my butt in gear when it comes to getting fit! I started doing bootcamps with my future husband and then this lovely allergic reaction occurred. Sadly, my swollen feet and aching joints are preventing me from doing much of anything…I really hope this passes quick so I can get moving!

Needing- My joints to stop aching and the swelling in my hands and feet to go away!  It's super frustrating when I can't open bottles of water or the lids to my pills on my own.  I also look like my great grandmother when I walk around…it's really cool. I will be happy when this all goes away!

Summer bucket list!-
1. My goal is to lose 5 pounds before the beginning of my school year. This may be a little ambitious considering that I start school in July, but hey, at least I have goals!
2. I love laying out and getting a little sun-kissed. My theory is tan fat looks better than white fat. So, I hope to get my bronze on in the next few weeks!
3. I LOVE the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo! The Omaha Zoo is awesome and is nationally ranked! I hope I can go to the Zoo on my birthday and check out the Sky-fari (a ski lift that takes you OVER animal exhibits and runs from the back of the Zoo to the front!) I think the Zoo may be one of my favorite places to go…if you want to see what our Zoo looks like, click here!

Well, that does it for my Currently link up…but I still have some exciting news to share with you!

Five for Friday...Giveaway winner announced!

Happy Friday!  Congratulations on surviving another long work week and reaching your weekend...WOOOHOO!! I'm even happier to have you here to kick off your weekend with my FIVE FOR FRIDAY!

Let's get this party started!

PHEW! I don't know about you, but this week was a whirl wind for me.  We all know that around this time everyone is on edge due to those darn wonderful tests we all enjoy taking so much! Schedules are turned upside down and our nerves shoot through the roof!  I am known to carry stress around to the point of breaking out in hives ( it's really quite attractive....and itchy) unless I find a way to manage it. Well, I have tried going to the gym to run on the hamster wheel (aka: treadmill), tried classes at my local YMCA and even tried enjoying the bright outdoors. Needless to say, it just didn't work for me. I would get into the groove of going and then become exceedingly bored with my monotonous  routine and I would end up quitting.

After a few months of frustration my mother talked me into going to a Jazzercise class with her.  I had nothing to lose, so I went and....I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!  I have finally found an "exercise program" that I might actually stick to, plus who doesn't like to go dance it out after a long day?!  If you have never tried Jazzercise I think you should AT LEAST try it once, like I said, you've got nothing to lose!

I made a spontaneous trip into the big city of Omaha for a little fun.  My friend Lynn and I decided to stop at Francesca's. I'm not big into clothes shopping but,  I love going there simply because they have some of the cutest little knick-knack things to decorate with.  While Lynn dove into the clothing racks, I decided to wander around and looking at the wall decor.  I found some really cute signs with sayings of love and being fearless...and then I saw it. There I stood in my bright pink Batman t-shirt and Batman headband when the world decides to throw me a little bit of irony....

It was almost like it was meant to be.....

I saw this brilliant wall sign that I definitely will be purchasing in the near future. I LOVE Batman and this sign would just make my life complete.

If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw this lovely post of my Math Workshop signs.

My teaching partner and I are in the process of prepping our Math Workshop for next year and we were tired of our boring index card rotation board.  Since I love to create I immediately created these adorable little tags! I even made my teaching partner her own clip-art avatar (is that what they are called?).  After posting this photo on Facebook and Instagram I got quite a few questions asking when these would be up for sale. Well folks, you're in luck, because I have them ready for you right now!  Here is my most recent product on TPT ...

my "Math Workshop Essentials" and it's EDITABLE!  Click the image above to take you to my TPT and check it out for yourself!

Now for the exciting news!  This week I held my very first Giveaway! It was very exciting and I am very grateful for those of you that took part in supporting my Facebook page and TPT store.  Quite a few of you entered the giveaway, but there can only be ONE Winner!

DRUMROLL, PLEASE.....

AND THE WINNER IS.......

Congratulations, Stephanie!  You're the LUCKY winner of my K-2 Dolch Bundle BANG game! Thank you to all that participated! Be sure to follow my blog and Facebook for upcoming freebies, products and giveaways!

This year I have been working really hard on becoming a more efficient Guided Reading Teacher. I used to really struggle with planning reading every week until I read Jan Richardson's book. Holy cow...it is a life-saver! Now,  Guided Reading is my favorite subject to plan, but it takes me FOREVER to get done. As you can see, it also takes up a good portion of my table to plan as well.  Does anyone else love Guided Reading? If you have not read Jan Richardson's book on Guided Reading it is wonderful! Her formats are simply to follow and I love all of word work ideas she gives you in the back of the book!

Well folks, I need to continue planning my guided reading groups and cleaning off my table before it gets completely lost under all of my stuff! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Monday Made It, Freebie and a Giveaway!

Happy Monday!  I'm glad you are here because I have some VERY exciting news! If you checked in with me on Friday, you probably know that I recently purchased the program I had been using on my Fiance's computer to create products.  This is super exciting because now I don't have to wait to post products until the weekend anymore AND I can share them with you immediately! YAY!

This weekend I posted two BRAND NEW products! I have my First and Second grade Dolch Sight word BANG games into on GIANT K-2 Bundle! If that isn't enough, I have also included and EDITABLE version of this bundle so you are able to add any other words you may need! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?!?!

Click Image to check it out in my store!

I also have a brand new FREEBIE that is just a little taste of an awesome package that will be coming your way soon!

"TAP IT OUT" is an addition strategy I developed in my classroom to help my firsties that are still using all of their fingers and toes to complete basic addition problems.  The idea is fairly simple, but the outcome is amazing! Students use their "TAP" button to represent the larger numbers they have in addition and subtraction problems. Students "TAP" their button while they say the larger number from a problem which then leaves their little fingers open to count and represent the smaller number from the problem.  My students have LOVED using their buttons and I have LOVED seeing their confidence grow! Like I said, this is a trial run of what is to come, so please leave feedback so I can make sure my package is perfect!

Phew! Now......

I know that those products may have made you excited but, hold on to your hats ladies and gents, that isn't even the most EXCITING news I have for you!

DRUMROLL please.........
