Meet Megan

Hey there! 

I'm Megan and I am the creator of A New Box of Crayons! I'm a 25 year old Nebraska native that loves the Huskers and teaching First grade. 

Here is a little bit about me...

I am born and raised in Eastern Nebraska (sorry, no farm girl here) where I currently live and teach my amazing group of First graders. I teach at a year round school, which means I go back mid-July, and I LOVE it! I have been teaching for four years (I spent on year in 4th)  and I can't imagine doing anything else, it truly is my passion. I live on coffee, hugs and first grade quotes. 

In June, I will be marrying my better half. I am very excited to be starting a new adventure with the most amazing man I have ever met (well, besides my dad, uncle and grandfather).  He is one of my greatest support systems and I know I can always count on him to cut some lamination, grade a few papers and make me smile on those tougher days.  My fiancé is definitely a keeper, folks! 

If you follow me on Instagram at all you have probably seen multiple posts about my adorable fur baby, Kyle.  Kyle is our cuddly Miniature Schnauzer that has an amazing beard.  This spunky little dog has his own hashtag on Instagram and holds a very special place in my heart.  He loves belly rubs, going to the dog park and chewing on water bottles.  Kyle has also been known to help me grade papers and give input on almost all of my TPT products.  Yes, I may be a crazy dog lady, but how can I not be?! Look at this face!
