A quick "Hello!"...Monday Made it.

Hey there! I promise I'm still around...the past few weeks have just been crazy! I have 2 1/2 days left of school and then I'm off to start my 365 days of sweatin' for my wedding! Phew!

I am here to link up with 4th grade Frolics for a Monday Made it! WOOHOO!!

Here we go!

The end of the year is quickly approaching and I have been searching for ways to send home my student's work from the school year in a NEAT way. I searched and found some pretty expensive solutions...which would be awesome to do if I had an limitless bank account. So, I decided to search through my box of grade school things to see what my Elementary teachers used to send home my work at the end of the year.  Let me tell you, I found some pretty creative things, but my favorite was very simple.  It was a giant piece of purple construction paper folded and stapled to make a giant folder with my name written in perfect cursive in the lower right hand corner.  This idea was PERFECT!  So, I borrowed the idea and jazzed it up to bring up to speed with today's world of clip art and computers and....

VOILA!

Here is the End of the Year Portfolios I have made for my firsties this year!  Very simple and they look awesome! Plus, they are big enough to hold ALL of those papers I had saved since the beginning of the school year!

If you are looking for a simple way to send your kiddos work home, don't fear! I have put these portfolio covers up in my TPT store to help you out! Click the image to hop on over to my store to grab your very own!

I hope you have enjoyed your stop by my little blog! I'd love to hear from you, so leave a comment and let me know that you stopped by! Keep up with me over my summer by following me on Instagram!

I hope you have a great week!

Five for Friday!~5/9/14~

Woohoo! Happy Friday, Folks! I hope you have had a wonderful week! I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my Five for Friday with you!

Let's get Friday rollin'...

Check out my EARLY Birthday present from my parents (they are awesome!)  I have officially joined the Mac world! I am currently typing this post on my Mac, mind blown!

It is taking me a little while to figure out how to add image just to this post, but I'm getting there.  Do you use a Mac? If so, do you have any tips, pointers on creating products, or awesome tutorials?! Share away! I am so excited to learn everything I can and use my lil' lap top to it's full potential.

WOOHOO! YAY for upgrading!

I have been waiting and waiting for my lovely little wedding shoes to arrive.  I checked my mailbox EVERYDAY in hopes that a box would be there patiently waiting for me. Finally, last Thursday they came!!

Check these puppies out!

I am in LOVE with these shoes! They make me taller without making it difficult to walk and they are comfortable. WHAT?! Who has ever heard of "comfortable" heels?!  Now, I can happily vacuum my apartment in true 50's housewife style.  (I promise I'm not rolling my ankle in this picture.)

This week I took the jump and purchased my very first Erin Condren planner.  I have heard so many wonderful things about these planners, I just couldn't resist the temptation any longer!  I hope it helps me reduce the amount of planners, calendars and grade books I take home every night.  I've heard it helps A TON with organization, and since I'm only in my 3rd year of teaching, I haven't quite found my niche for planning...so I'll give it a shot!

I love the saying on the front of this planner.  This is a common theme in my classroom, so it will work perfectly.  Now...if it would only get here soon, that would make my day!!

Wanna check them out for yourself?! Click on me (the clip art me over there-----------> ) and see the loveliness for yourself!

This week has been filled with lots of testing and schedule changes for my kiddos.  Computers have crashed, systems have been down and test's had been frozen. Gotta love technology!  With all of this going my firsties did a great job of going with the flow of everything.

After a long day this week, I found this sweet little note on my desk at the end of the day.

This sweetie wrote one of the best "powims" I have ever received! Needless to say, this turned my day around in a snap!

This is why I LOVE my job!

Last but not least, let's talk about my giveaway!  For the past few weeks I have been running a giveaway for my latest product on TPT.

This lovely little unit contains everything you need to end the year in a fun, yet simple, way.  It contains memory book covers for years to come, writing prompt pages for different grade levels, gift tags for your kiddos (beach balls, sunglasses, gum, glow sticks), and an exhilarating scavenger hunt through your school to a secret treasure ( treasure is not included ..haha).  I created this unit with busy teacher's in mind and held a giveaway to give all of you the chance to win your very own copy!

May Currently!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday or should I say HAPPY MAY! Holy cow! This year seems to have just flown by...well, except for those SUPER long weeks where I constantly thought it was the Tuesday and it turned out to be Monday, but still it has just zoomed right on by!

If you follow my Instagram account you have seen my lovely stack of lamination that never seems to shrink. I have been working like crazy to prep centers and things for next year, which may explain my absence from my cute lil' blog! I promise I'm not giving up...just working on my classroom To-do list (which never seems to get shorter...hmm strange how that works).

Well folks, on this lovely Wednesday I will be partaking in the magical CURRENTLY linky party!  This magnificent link-up was created by the amazing Farley, who I absolutely love (sorry if that seems strange, but she is pretty amaze-a-tastic)!

Let's get this party rollin'...

Listening- I have my iTunes radio playing while I have my T.V. on mute (don't ask me why). I love Katy Perry...I may or may not have been dancing and singing along at the top of my lungs :).

Loving- I am SO excited to see Friday!  This week was a little rough with our MAP testing. My firsties will be testing out of their little minds in these last few weeks, I think we are all ready for a break from reviewing.

Thinking- I sprinted out of Jazzercise tonight and up 3 flights of stairs to my apartment when I saw Farley's post about the linky! I have been waiting for it all day and I just was so excited! Needless to say, I haven't showered and I kind of stink. Be happy you aren't sitting next to me right now...ha!

Wanting- I found my wedding shoes and ordered them on Sunday! I was hoping they would be here today, but sadly they are not. I know my wedding is still a year away but,  I just want to wear them around to vacuum in...is that too much to ask?!

Needing- If you follow my Instagram account (which I think you should since I use is CONSTANTLY) you have noticed my LARGE pile of lamination that never seems to shrink.  I am needing a break from cutting things out and will gladly pay you in jokes and beverages :)! Any takers?!

SUUUU-PRISE!- I am tagging KinderMolly's TPT store. She is an adorable creator that has some AH-DOR-ABLE products. Be sure to check her out!
That's not all!!!!!!

You will not want to miss out on my latest giveaway! Enter for the chance to win my End of the Year Extravaganza Pack to finish off your school year with a KA-POW!

Well folks, that's all I have for you tonight! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! There will be no Five for Friday post tomorrow, but you can follow my Instagram to keep up with me!
