My first Fix..Stitch Fix, that is!

Hey there! Sooo….I have been watching all of my bloggy friends receive some awesome clothes from Stitch Fix…I did a little reading, explored my Pinterest Fashion boards and decided to try it out for myself and I'm here to share my experience with you!

If you are going, "Wait, what is Stitch Fix?"… let me help you. >The following statement was directly pulled from the Stitch Fix website<

"Stitch Fix is the first fashion retailer to blend expert styling, proprietary technology and unique product to deliver a shopping experience that is truly personalized for you. Simply fill out the Stitch Fix Style Profile and our personal stylists will handpick a selection of five clothing items and accessories unique to your taste, budget and lifestyle. You can buy what you like and return the rest!"

Sorry for the inserted comment, but why try to re-explain what it is when they have already done it!? ANYWHOO…I am here to share with you my VERY FIRST STITCH FIX! YAY!

WARNING: THIS IS MY FIRST STITCH FIX AND NOT EVERYTHING WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED…but I do plan on ordering my next fix very soon, because they really got my overall style…now, to just continue with my wedding diet and all will be good! HA!

Today my first Stitch Fix arrived and I could not wait to see what was in this awesome box!  Now, I was really skeptical about the clothes I would get…I wondered if they would fit or if they would even be what I was looking for, but I WAS SO WRONG!! I AM IN LOVE WITH STITCH FIX!

Here…see for yourself!

The first item out of my box was this nifty little blouse! It had a black appliqué back and was SUPER comfy. I, however, didn't feel like it looked super great on me (ya know…girl body image issues…we all have them) so, I sent this one back…but it's okay because there was more!

Next was this adorable army green jacket! I LOVED it (excuse the weird face)! The only problem was my chest region (it can be a blessing and a curse)…so I sadly sent this jacket back too.  I really wish I could have kept this, but I know I can find something similar that will fit my "chesticles"(a word I made up…it may be inappropriate, but hey..we are all adults here).

Okay…so one awesome thing about Stitch Fix is that you can ask for specific pieces for upcoming events.  For instance, I have a ton of weddings coming up this year and I need some dresses that I can wear to all of them. So, I asked for my stylist to look for a dress that would work for school and for a wedding…and maybe a few date nights here and there.  My stylist sent me this adorable little number and I loved everything about it….expect when it was on me (again…more body image problems). So…this cute little thing went back too, but hey…it's my first fix…they aren't going to get everything right the first time.

Finally, I found these super soft boyfriend skinnies at the bottom of my box!  I know this may not be the greatest angle, but I LOVE THEM! You better believe I kept these awesome jeans and I'm planning on breaking them out this weekend for the Husker game! WOOT WOOT!

There was also a super long necklace, but again…when you have a large chest region…awkwardly long necklaces just don't work.

So, there ya have it (whether you wanted it or not) you saw my very first stitch fix and got to know me a little bit better. Again…maybe you got to know me a little more than you wanted too, but oh well!

If you have been wondering about Stitch Fix, go and check it out for yourself! You don't have to sign up for your first fix right away…you can definitely explore the idea for a few days, hours or minutes…whatever! It really is pretty nifty and I can't wait to sign up for my next one!

I hope you enjoyed your stop here and feel free to follow me on Instagram or Twitter!

Have a great weekend!

I'm a tweeter are you?…and more techy talk!

Hey there! So, I know it seems like I have been MIA (which may be true), but holy cow is there a lot going on this school year! Does anyone else feel like this year is WAY busier than last year?! It could just be me, but who knows!

Anyways…I wanted to stop by and share some AWESOME things that I have been working on for my District to push myself to become better!

I recently was asked to be on a small committee called "Teachers Teaching with Technology"…now…I LOVE using technology in my classroom, but by no means am I some kind of  guru.  This year I began using Class Dojo in my classroom to give my behavior clip chart a little more depth and for the past 3 years I have used a classroom website to make it easier for my students to access websites and games during independent work time.  This year our school finally has an iPad cart and I have been SUPER excited to get those iPads in the hands of my kiddos, but I realized that I have a MILLION things to learn to make my students learning effective and meaningful.  SOOOOOO…on this nifty committee I found quite a few amazing teachers that are already using technology DAILY in their classrooms and their first piece of advice was to hop on to Twitter.

So, I immediately  created an Educational Twitter, you can follow me here, I have a personal one but I never use it! Clearly, my social media of choice is Instagram, but I think I'm going to work on taking my tweeting to the next level…hold on to your hats folks!

Let me tell you…there are some brilliant teachers on twitter and one that I am totally obsessed with (currently)  is Matt B. Gomez (his twitter here). This guy is a Kindergarten teacher in Texas and uses iPads daily along with MANY more awesome tech-tastic {I made this word up} ideas for your classroom! How awesome is that! Here is the coolest thing…TOMORROW he will be holding a webinar to talk about how he uses TWITTER in his classroom!! You can sign up for his webinar by clicking on the link on my tweet! I'm signed up and will be checking it out as soon as I get home from my Guided Math class…woof.

Now, like I said before I know that I am not a technology guru…even though I hope to be someday, I am really looking to just share and learn with all of you. So, if you know of some awesome blogs or apps that you have read about, use, created, found etc. PLEASE SHARE!

I hope you all have had an awesome Monday and continue to have an amazing week!

Don't forget to share links and apps in the comments below!

September Currently!

Hey there! I'm back and this month I am not only linking up with the lovely Farley for her Currently link-up…I am also hosting this link up! I am so excited!

Let's get this party rollin'!

Listening- My fiancé is currently flipping back and forth between "Don't be Tardy" and "In Time"…I am not upset with either choice :)

Loving- This weekend marked exactly one year since my fiancé asked me to marry him! Needless to say, this weekend has been filled with Husker football, Family and friends and I could not be happier. Yes, we have had a super long engagement, but it have really been able to enjoy this wedding planning process. I can't wait for June!

Thinking- Tonight I completed my very first Fantasy football draft.  I have watched "the boys" do it for years and figured that if you can't beat them you might as well join them. So, I set-up two of my own teams (with the help of my patient fiancé ) and now I will have more of a reason to pay attention when football is on :)

Wanting- This long weekend has been wonderful and I definitely wouldn't be upset to extend just one more day…it's wishful thinking on my part.

Needing- I have a mountain of laundry that seems to be growing at an alarming rate.  Laundry is so easy to do and I still loathe doing it! UGH! Maybe I'll get it done tomorrow …maybe.

3 Trips- Oh I love this one! I have never been to Vegas and would love to go, but haven't had the chance. I started school the week of the TPT conference so it just didn't work out. I have dreamed of going to Greece on day…the water is just so blue! Hawaii…who doesn't want to go to Hawaii!

Well, there ya have it folks!  I hope you enjoyed your stop on my little ole' blog and I hope to see you back here soon! If you want to keep up with me go ahead and follow my blog and on Instagram!
